Expert Panel Conclusions
There has been a lot of research conducted worldwide to investigate possible health effects from radio signals, including potential effects on male fertility from mobile phones, and other wireless devices.
In relation to radio frequency exposures and health, the general conclusion from the World Health Organization (WHO) is:
“Despite extensive research, to date there is no evidence to conclude that exposure to low level electromagnetic fields is harmful to human health”

Several expert panels have made specific conclusions on the effects of radiofrequency exposure on fertility.
“The UK advisory Group on Non-Ionising Radiation (AGNIR) 2003 report says;
"...considering the possible reproductive and developmental effects of RF radiation, IEGMP [or “Stewart Report”] concluded that ' there is no convincing evidence from studies of rodents that exposure to RF fields at levels associated with mobile telecommunications poses any risk for the fetus or for male fertility'. The new evidence fully supports this conclusion, and reproductive or developmental effects would only be expected following RF-induced hyperthermia".
The Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority 2003 report states;
"it is not very likely that the exposure to RF fields from mobile phones and base stations can impact on sperm production or affect unborn children. Some biological effects have been observed, but no health risk can be identified because we cannot know the mechanisms behind these effects".
